Planning an Arabian themed party is about creating fairy tale. It's about pushing the envelope, to go as far as your creativity takes you. But, you have to know the basic elements of such theme.

Colour palette of an Arabian wedding theme has a loud, blasting effect. Gold based ornaments with shades of flaming red, maroon, burgundy, magenta, persimmon orange, with a dash of golden yellow, olive green, and Persian blue, just to name a few.

And no Arabian wedding theme is complete without carpets, throw cushions and ottoman pouf or footstools...and lots of them.

We will be posting more as we progress along with our planning & coordination.

          Simple & straightforward.

The order came from an old friend. He wanted a fuss-free card, low-budget, using bold colours but still pleasing to the eyes.

Creating a "Night of 1001 Arabian Dreams"

Alhamdulillah, after the 1st attempt planning an engagement kenduri a few months back, we are given another shot at wedding planning. This time around, for a private wedding reception, a month from now. Again, working under pressure, we're committed to give the best.

The theme, A Night of 1001 Arabian Dreams, is what we've proposed to our client. They've agreed to it, and so we are challenging ourselves to arrange an event as elaborate as time permit. The decor works includes tabletop ornaments, poolside furnishing, pergola aisle, registration table, photo booth, live band, exclusive handmade invitation & favors, to name a few. We will also coordinate the costume for the waiters & waitresses. Hey! It's a theme party. And we love working on the details.

Do check out our blog for more updates soon. We will be giving tips on planning an Arabian wedding theme.

          Let's get personal

We, at artchetak.com, work very closely with our customers. That's why we are not planning to setup an online store yet. We offer a very personal services where customers are welcome to share ideas or out forward any request within their budget. One example is our 3-in-1 cards. After further discussions with our kind customer, we came up with another set of slightly different colours, sizes and style. Here are the final artworks.

Below is the original set. What do you think?

          Lost in colours

Green and cream? Green and grey? Green and yellow?
Which green? Olive green? Apple green? Lime green?

Well, if anyone tells you to just pick a colour, any colour for your wedding theme, what would you say?

'Any colours' will not do for your big day. They have to be in rhythm with your wedding concept.

You can go here, here or here for tips and inspirations on choosing colours that suit your wedding day the best.

          Red demands attention!

Red is passion. It's bold and exciting. It's full of fire, desire and ambitious. I think it's a very good colour to use on a wedding invitation card.

          Working on a 3-in-1.

What's a 3-in-1? Three wedding invitations for one happy couple.
The concept is English garden. It took me awhile to come up with an idea that incorporates two different theme colours. Purple and white for the groom and green and cream for the bride.
