Doilies again

Nurul requested these doily tags for her favor bags.

She came up with the idea of using the doily as tags to match her wedding card. She is using brown paper bags and I hope these doily tags will fit them perfectly.

Jana RM Dari Rumah

Pada 22 November 2009, www.artchetak.com berpeluang muncul di segmen Bekerja Dari Rumah di rancangan Apa Kata Wanita di TV1. Sejak itu, dari semasa ke semasa, saya menerima e-mail dari wanita-wanita, terutamanya kaum ibu yang berhajat untuk mula berniaga secara kecil-kecilan dari rumah. Dengan pengalaman yang amat cetek, rasanya saya bukanlah sumber terbaik untuk memberi nasihat. Yang boleh cuma sekadar pandangan yang tak seberapa berdasarkan pengalaman sendiri.

Agak sukar untuk mendapatkan bahan bacaan yang ditujukan khas kepada kaum wanita bagi isu memulakan perniagaan dari rumah. Kebanyakan yang berada di pasaran adalah di import dari negara barat. Walaupun secara amnya, boleh digunapakai, tetapi masih perlu buku rujukan tulisan anak tempatan.

Alhamdulillah, pada Mei 2010, buku bertajuk Jana RM Dari Rumah berada di pasaran. Buku hasil tulisan Masayu Ahmad, di tulis khas untuk kaum wanita, para ibu bekerja khasnya yang berhajat untuk bertukar kepada status bekerja dari rumah.

Jana RM Dari Rumah bukan sahaja memberi pelbagai idea jenis perniagaan yang boleh di jalankan di rumah, malah, menjelaskan pelbagai perkara yang berkaitan. Terdapat panduan-panduan bagaimana untuk mengurus masa, cabaran bekerja dari rumah, pengurusan pemasaran, persaingan dan kewangan turut diterangkan.

Bekerja dari rumah tidaklah semudah yang disangka. Sesiapa yang memasang niat, perlu mendapat maklumat apa yang bakal dihadapi. InsyaAllah semuanya ada di dalam buku ini, begitu juga panduan motivasi diri sekiranya apa yang dirancang tidak membuahkan hasil.

In love with Doily

I am loving these paper doilies more and more. I am glad and very much relief when the customer, who ordered these cards, told me how happy and pleased she is upon receiving her parcel. My deepest gratitude goes to Nurul Huda, who trusts me with this job. Congrats to Nurul Huda & her sister and their respective grooms. I wish you all the best.

With or without?

I take all my card designs very seriously. All elements must harmoniously compliment each other. To add photos in your wedding card is a matter of personal choice. But not any photos should do, at least not in my designs. If your choice of photos do not go well with the artwork, we offer a mini photo session, with minimum cost. Trust us with the word 'minimum'.

Family time

The wedding reception has been called of due to some very unfortunate reasons. I do feel a little frustrated but very much sorry for the couple. We hope and pray that things will work out for them. That leaves me with some extra time on my hands to clear up a few orders for wedding cards. I decided not to accept any orders until mid June to spend more time with the husband and kids. We had picnics, we baked, we spent time doing absolute nothing. The kids enjoyed themselves and so did us. Thus the neglect on this blog.

We will upload more photos of the recent wedding cards and more designs for budget handmade invitations. But for now, it's family time.

Pretty doily

Currently, I am working on handmade invitation cards which will look something like this. I had bought the doily papers months ago. Only now I get to use them. I couldn't wait to show everyone how they'll look like when they are done.
